Sul Ross State University-Rio Grande College?s Small Business Development Center is hosting a Sexual Harassment seminar on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 9:45 a.m. at the SBDC in Eagle Pass for local businesses, governmental entities, health care providers, non-profit organizations, and interested individuals. A minimum fee of $10 will be charged.
?This training is designed to meet government training standards with respect to sexual harassment and equal opportunity in the workplace,? said Maricela Brown, SBDC Business Training Specialist. ?Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the key definitions of sexual harassment and equal opportunity as well as the negative effects of sexual harassment has on victims and their organizations and businesses,? added Brown.
Participants will learn to recognize, discourage, respond, and report sexual harassment appropriately and legally. Participants also will learn proper reporting procedures and prevention techniques for unwelcome or unlawful behavior.
The Sexual Harassment seminar and training is recommended for business owners, managers, supervisors, human resources directors, and any interested persons.
